Alhaji (Engr.) Bukar Abdullah

Chairman

Alhaji Bukar boasts an impressive 46-year career in the oil and gas industry. His journey began as a Trainee Facilities Engineer with the Shell Group in 1972, and over the next 35 years, he held various Engineering and Field Operations management positions, overseeing diverse onshore and offshore projects in Nigeria, Holland, and Australia.
As the South Forcados Project Manager from 1990 to 1993, Alhaji Bukar played a pivotal role in developing the Southern Swamp Area. Under his leadership, the
construction of the Trans-Ramos Trunkline, Tunu/Kanbo, and Qgbotobo Fields took place. Additionally, he contributed significantly to the design and implementation of the flares out master plan from 1993 to 1996 and the redevelopment of the Forcados Terminal-Facilities from 1996 to 1998. As the General Manager, Engineering for all Shell companies in Nigeria, Alhaji Bukar managed an annual capital expenditure exceeding US$500 million. He played a crucial role in the successful execution of major projects, including the Sapele and Oben Gas Projects, the East Netherlands Sour Gas and Schoonebeck Oil Redevelopment Projects, and the South Forcados Development Project.
Notably, his contributions to the Trans-Ramos Trunkline enabled the streamlining and evacuation of 300,000 barrels of oil per day. He also gained valuable operational
experience aboard the Woodside Petroleum-managed Cossack Pioneer FPSO in the Northwest Shelf of Western Australia.
Alhaji Bukar’s impact extends beyond individual projects. He played a key role in Shell’s efforts to eliminate gas flaring and establish Nigerian gas as a valuable resource in both local and international markets. Moreover, in line with the Nigerian government’s objectives to develop local capacity and capability, he championed the domestication of front-end engineering design (FEED) work, ensuring cost-effective project delivery and fostering the professional growth of Nigerian engineers. Alhaji Bukar’s dedication to maximizing local content in oil and gas field development has been instrumental in driving the industry forward.
After retiring from Shell in 2007, Alhaji Bukar joined the Uquo Development team, where he has been leading the surface production facilities team to date. In 2016, he
joined the Board of Frontier Oil, continuing his unwavering commitment to the development of local capacity and capability in the oil and gas sector. Alhaji Bukar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Swansea, Wales. His expertise and contributions have earned him recognition as a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He is also a registered member of COREN, highlighting his professional credibility and commitment to engineering excellence.

Chief (Engr.) Pat Chukwuani

CEO

Patrick holds the position of the Chief Executive Officer, where he showcases exemplary leadership skills in managing and supervising all projects and activities related to oil and gas engineering projects. He is a highly experienced process and facility engineer with expertise in various oil and gas industry aspects. With over 36 years of experience,
he has successfully overseen numerous projects related to pipeline design, facility installation, commissioning, and operations. His extensive knowledge of regulatory and commercial procedures in the oil and gas sector enables him to navigate complex requirements effortlessly. Patrick’s diverse skill set includes marginal field development, project engineering, facilities management, operations readiness, operations management, process engineering, and consultancy for refinery feasibility studies.
As General Manager – Technical at Hilltop Global Oil & Gas Solutions Int’l Ltd, Patrick led the field development efforts of the Alaoma Marginal Field in OML 53, Imo State. He skillfully coordinated the efforts of third-party consultants to develop an approved Field Development Plan (FDP), with specialized technologies like Terra Slicing Tec and Cavitech Viscosity Reduction Enhancement for production optimization.
Patrick played a crucial role in the development of the Uquo Marginal Field in OML 13 as the Facilities Engineering Coordinator at Frontier Oil Ltd. He successfully engineered and installed Central Processing Facilities (CPF) and associated infrastructure, ensuring a seamless project execution through operations readiness efforts and an Operations Readiness Plan (ORP). As a Senior Process Engineer at Frazimex Engineering Ltd, Patrick led the process engineering discipline for the Calabar Umuahia-Ajaokuta Pipeline project. He conducted conceptual engineering studies and front-end engineering design (FEED) for this pipeline, which aimed to transmit gas from the proposed Central Processing Facility (CPF) to Ajaokuta as part of the larger Ajaokuta-Kano-Trans Sahara Pipeline to Europe. Patrick also facilitated effective stakeholder engagement through Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) public forums in the states traversed by the pipeline. As a Principal Process Engineer at NETCO for FEED Office, Shell Petroleum Development Company Ltd, Patrick contributed to developing concepts for various oil and gas opportunities. He actively participated in oil development projects, nonassociated gas (NAG) development, and integrated oil and gas development initiatives.
Patrick demonstrated exceptional project management skills as a Project Manager at Stork Teco Ltd, leading successful oil and gas projects. Notably, he oversaw the
replacement of flow station bulk flow meters for SPDC, improving measurement accuracy by selecting and sizing Coriolis meters. As an Operations Manager at Energy
Services Ltd, Patrick efficiently managed the deployment of a specialized downhole video logging camera for major oil and gas companies. Collaborating with
Schlumberger/Oil data wirelines, he ensured successful operations for clients like SPDC, Chevron, Total, and Addax. Earlier in his career, Patrick excelled as a Senior Project Engineer/Process Engineer at Edans Industrial Consultants Ltd. He contributed significantly to technical feasibility studies for refinery projects, including export refineries and the conversion of NNPC Port Harcourt Refining Company’s Dimersol Plant to MBTE. His collaboration with Universal Oil Products (UOP) was crucial to the project’s success.

Dr. A. C. Nebo

Director of Engineering

Dr. A. C. Nebo, the esteemed Director of Engineering, graduated with a First Class (Hons.) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1972. He briefly worked with Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in 1973 before pursuing advanced studies in the USA.
Dr. Nebo earned M.S., M.E., and D.Sc. in Engineering from the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with exceptional distinctions. His professional journey includes serving as a Design Engineer at Chelsea Clock Company in Chelsea, Massachusetts, and later as a senior Mechanical Engineer at General Motors in Warren, Michigan, USA.
Upon his return to Nigeria, Dr. Nebo made significant contributions to academia and industry. He was appointed an Associate Professor and later served as the Head of the Department at Anambra State University of Technology (now Enugu State University of Technology). Subsequently, he held key roles, including Executive Director – Engineering at Edans Industrial Consultants Ltd, Lagos, and General Manager of engineering at Fung Tai Engineering Company Ltd., Lagos. In his capacities, he supervised notable projects, including the construction of NNPC Products Tanks at the Apapa Jetty, Lagos, and the design and construction of Crude Buffer Tanks for Addax Petroleum Ltd. at Izombe Flow station in Imo State.

Enyinnaya Ibe

HSE Consultant

Enyinnaya Ibe, our dedicated Health, Safety, and environmental (HSE) Consultant, graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He is a certified Environmentalist with comprehensive training in environmental impact assessment, international occupational health and safety, and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor.
With extensive experience in oil and gas exploration and production activities, Ibe excels in ExxonMobil work management systems, HSE interface management, and quality
checking of environmental studies and compliance monitoring.
His expertise also includes coordinating audit plans, driving root cause analyses for deviations from the HSE plan, and collating facility inspection reports. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Ibe plays a vital role in ensuring our operations adhere to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.
